I would love that so must find out if there's one in my city. Currently I shop frequently at a Bulk Barn but have to use their plastic bags/containers. What a horrible name for a store - "Bulk Barn" - no wonder I'm over weight! I think it started in London actually, although it's the kind of idea that is always around to a certain extent, I think, and comes and goes in various iterations. I think one thing that has made a big difference this time round is the big dispensing units. Since bulk stuff isn't just out in big open tubs, health and hygiene standards can be adhered to more easily.

The course I'm doing is really interesting. It included a part about a sustainable neighbourhood in Sweden. It's really interesting to see how taking issues on board during the planning phase can make a difference. They're apparently the first carbon-neutral neighbourhood in Europe. There's a short five-minute report on it on youtube if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yZYXSsWnsg
Moonwaveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16018956740090192993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4942522681264332044.post-19902626024649209982017-02-06T08:31:02.486+00:002017-02-06T08:31:02.486+00:00The course sounds really cool ~ something I'd ...The course sounds really cool ~ something I'd love to go along to. Agreed though it would be a shock to the system to have deadlines etc. I like to read about all that kind of stuff but on my own timeline. It would be good though to commit to assignments and quizzes to get the most out of it.

I looove that shop with no packaging! Is that very common in your part of Germany? It's really, really rare in my part of Australia. In our new townhouse we have to walk about 100m to put rubbish in the communal bins...it has made me ever more aware each evening how much packaging and waste we bring in...only to take back out.

Congrats on sticking with the blood sugar diet. I lost some weight in France and so far have been taking a little more off each week. Mostly doing it by skipping meals though which isn't ideal. Love the 5:2 concept and have to get back onto it.Fionahttp://www.declutterer.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
